These products have been designed to weld the PE outer secondary containment pipe for pre-insulated district heating systems.

These systems work by heating water from the waste heat generated when house hold rubbish is burnt in incinerators. This hot water is then pumped around the local area and used for central heating in council buildings, university complexes, etc.

The main water pipe is metal, insulated with foam, then protected with a PE outer pipe to stop damage and corrosion.
