Installing a pipe network, is no longer just about welding pipe.
The most important factors are making sure the operator works to
the highest possible standards, and all the welding information is
safely stored and easily accessible.

To achieve this in an ever changing market place, our electrofusion
welding units control all aspects of the welding through software.
If there is a new mode of operation required, or a change in working
practices, then this can be altered through software. If fully
automatic bar code welding is required, then the welding unit can be
locked into this mode. If a change to the data log information is
needed to comply with contract requirements, then this can be amended.
All of this through software.
The software in the welding unit can be quickly updated through the
external USB connector. New software is emailed to the customer,
then loaded onto a USB memory pen. This is then plugged into the welding unit.
From the menu system, a password can be entered that will read the new
software from the memory pen and flash update the welding unit.
The operation of the welding unit is just half the story. Once the
weld has been carried out, the information is stored in the internal
memory. This can then be downloaded onto an industry standard USB memory pen.
Data can be downloaded in two different formats: a plain text csv file
that can be opened with Microsoft Excel, or an encrypted format that
requires special software.
Each welding unit is supplied with the Download Manager Software that
will read both formats of data. This software will display, filter,
graph and print the weld information, and allow it to be saved into
other formats.
If you have a specific requirement for the operation of the software,
then we can help you out.
